The Chicago Innovation Awards honor the most creative new products, services, and organizations in the Chicago region. The goal is to showcase how innovation is happening everywhere in Chicago.
Each year, businesses, non-profits, or inventors can submit nominations. There are several award types, such as Main Category Awards, Up-and-Comer Awards, Social Innovator Award, People’s Choice Award, and others. Winners gain public recognition, media exposure, and networking opportunities.

Who Qualifies For The Chicago Innovation Awards?
Organizations across the greater Chicago region can qualify for the Chicago Innovation Awards if they have introduced a new product, service, or business model within the past four years.
Eligible areas include the northern half of Illinois, southern Wisconsin, and northwest Indiana. The competition welcomes entries from companies of all sizes, as well as nonprofits and civic groups.
Once nominations are submitted, a panel of judges reviews them based on several factors. They look at how well the innovation addresses an unmet need and how different it is from existing solutions. Judges also consider the value it delivers to its end users by assessing real-world benefits rather than just novel ideas.
